Opening up

My small sphere of influence encompasses my family of six children, my co-workers, a few close friends, a regular cast of acquaintances and many, many passers-through. A few years ago, I made the decision to live in a state of love. That is, to consciously and unconditionally love everyone who was in my life at any moment. A life of conditioning that allowed fear, anger, hatred, or apathy to be a part of my repertoire meant that this would not necessarily be an easy task. However, I have found during my amazing journey, that being aware, or "present", in each moment allowed me to be able to choose love on a very consistent basis. And, that after a time, the choice was not even necessary. Love simply flowed naturally in every situation.
